During the Food Festivals an international Chef selected by an Embassy, creates a special menu full of authentic flavors, together with Chef Sido de Brabander from Leo’s Royal Hotel Den Haag.
On October 13 or 14 oktober 2023, we invite you at Leo’s Royal Hotel Den Haag, together with The Indonesian Embassy and Indonesian Diaspora Network, The Netherlands for a Indonesian Fine Dining Experience. During the Indonesian Fine Dining Experience there will be also an Indonesian dance performance, Indonesian taste of Coctails, Moktails and Macrons.
Chef Agus Hermawan, Executive chef at Ron Gastrobar Indonesia and Ron Gastrobar Indonesia ‘Downtown’ and Chef Sido de Brabander will jointly present an authentic 8-course fine dining experience that will enhance the traditional spices and flavors from Indonesia.
Chef Agus Hermawan, originally from Java, Indonesia, learned to cook from his mother and set off to The Netherlands in 1996 to begin his culinary career. He honed his skills by working at various Michelin-starred restaurants. He has a unique talent for transforming traditional Indonesian dishes into contemporary and exciting culinary creations, all while paying tribute to his native country. In 2018, Chef Agus was appointed as the ambassador of Indonesian cuisine in The Netherlands by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and is currently serving as the executive chef at the Ron Gastrobar Group.
The chefs will take you on a culinary journey across Indonesia, showcasing the country’s rich tapestry of tastes and traditions.
