Public space in cities is widely seen as a developmental resource. It thus becomes a kind of urban product, even assets, and a lure for a vibrant range of urban resident groups. Cities currently compete for prestige public spaces by creating new spaces or altering existing ones. In cities with a long history, these spaces contain tangible and intangible cultural heritage. In the mind of the city inhabitants, these spaces are saturated with historical connections, personal meanings and feelings. In this regard, a question arises: how and to what extent historical resources and cultural heritage can contribute to increase the development potential of the city and its public spaces?
In order to answer this question, IDN Liveable Cities will discuss with two cultural heritage experts: Yori Antar and Setiadi Sopandi. This discussion will be moderated by Hasti Tarekat Dipowijoyo and accompanied also by two commentators: Nadia Rinandi and Punto Wijayanto. Yuwono Imanto from Propan will present as well. This is not just a one-way webinar, there will be a group discussion session where you could also speak out your mind regarding the topic.
The webinar is FREE of charge, but for those who need an e-certificate, there is an administration handling fee of IDR 50.000,-.
Donation is welcome, with a minimum of IDR 50.000,-. Further information is written in the registration form & e-mail.
